The services to be provided under the Assignment include:

(a) support the operationalization, coordination and roll-out of the Urban and Municipal Development Fund (UMDF), with a particular focus on the partner African Cities that need municipal finance technical assistance;

(b) strengthen the UMDF’s engagement with partner cities, strengthening the network approach and knowledge management;

(c) provide technical and evaluation support to the UMDF in the municipal finance workstream;

(d) support the quality control of externally provided services and outputs, and

(e) support direct delivery of outputs, knowledge management products and events, contributing to the overall Bank and Fund success at national and city level in the urban sector.
