As a member of the African Cities Program, Antananarivo developed a city diagnostic and action plan building a strategic vision designed to plan a polycentric and deconcentrated city, rehabilitating its districts to cope with the housing crisis and improving the quality of life. Developing a green, resilient and healthy city is a priority, better adapted to climate risks by developing integrated responses in terms of sanitation and intelligent water and waste management.
The UMDF and the AfDB are engaged in supporting preparatory studies to design a global urban development plan, paving the way for well targeted investments.
