In 2022 the city officially joined the African Cities Program. Bangui is facing a large influx of refugees to the capital and this population needs to be provided with basic services (housing, health, sanitation). It is urgent for the city of Bangui to identify investments that will enable these populations to be integrated into the urban fabric.
The UMDF and the AfDB are engaged in supporting a city diagnostic and preparatory studies to design a global mobility plan, paving the way for well targeted investments.
