Cameroon: Understanding the training needs of local government managers

Cameroon has initiated a decentralization movement that is leading to important transfers of competences. As a result, the management teams of local governments are facing new challenges and missions for which they are not always prepared. A survey of local authorities was conducted between July and November 2022 to provide an initial assessment of staff training needs. The report is a first step towards the development of training programs. The focus should be on continuing education.
The UMDF is engaged in financing this report, to increase capacity on integrated urban development.
