As a member of the African Cities Program, Dodoma developed a city diagnostic and action plan building a strategic vision to develop a capital city that is economically competitive, socially inclusive, environmentally sustainable, vibrant, safe and convenient. Dodoma is a city poised on the cusp of dramatic transformation. There is a huge opportunity now to leverage green economic growth for the city and for Tanzania through spatial, fiscal and governmental city management.
The UMDF and the AfDB are engaged in supporting preparatory studies to design a global urban development plan, paving the way for well targeted investments.
