South Sudan has been facing a complex, fragile situation and ongoing political uncertainty. However, the government and warring parties are working toward ending a decade of conflict and insecurity, aiming to set the country on a path to lasting peace and sustainable economic growth.
In this context, a request for support was submitted to UMDF for the city of Juba. The city consists of three districts, or payams: Juba, Kator, and Munuki, with an estimated population of 368,436. Support from the African City Program and the development of a city diagnostic and action plan will assist in improving urban infrastructure, basic services, resilience, and overall living conditions.
