Creating Livable Cities: Regional Perspectives

A publication of the UMDF, in collaboration with the AfDB Group, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

This publication looks at urbanisation trends and urban development across emerging and developing economies in Africa; Asia and the Pacific; Emerging Europe, Central Asia, and the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean; and Latin America and the Caribbean. Many cities also face various challenges that constrain their capacities to deliver services to residents and limit the realisation of a more sustainable urban future for all. This report analyses how to address these challenges and capitalise on the opportunities for making cities more liveable.
